We are thrilled to announce that we won 2 Great Taste Awards this year! We won an award for our Smoked Stilton AND our Smoked almonds, both of which are firm favourites among our customers already.

A one-star award is rated by judges as ‘a food that delivers fantastic flavour’ and it is only given to around a third of applicants.
The judges comments for our Smoked Stilton said it to be “..an attractive cheese with a distinct smoked aroma and a creamy texture..” and “A characterful and moreish Stilton!”
We were so happy we received this accolade for this local Stilton Cheese that we smoke. It has always been very popular but can split opinion with it being 2 strong flavours to begin with (the Stilton itself and the smoke) but we hope this will encourage more people to give it a try especially if they were on the fence as to whether or not the idea of smoking Stilton Cheese was good or not.
We also won a great taste award on our Smoked Almonds which the judges said this about them – “There’s a lovely subtle smoke on the nose. An initial moment of saltiness leads to both fresh and roast-nut flavour plus judicious smoke and even a note of sweetness. Terrific crunch. Dangerously addictive.” and “These are excellent! We loved the smoky nose and flavour, the well-judged levels of salt, the bright crunchiness of the texture and the lingering creaminess of the nut. A fabulous snack.”
