Mulato Chilli

Description

Mulato is Dark and Mysterious with its complex flavours of dried cherry, coffee, tobacco, liquorice and raisin.

Mulatos are cousins of Ancho and somewhere in the past they had a shared parent, but somewhere in the past a wonderful group of farmers started to cultivate the seed from pods that had a deeper flavour and the Mulato was born.

If you like deeper flavours and low heat Mulato is ideal. Great to make a dark fruity sauce with a touch of smokey flavour and slight backdrop of heat

Mulato is low in heat around 5000 SHU

The mulato pods are whole and include the seeds, however due to the drying process the seeds are sterilised and it is very doubtful a seed will germinate.

Each pod weighs approx 4-6g
